The internet is a fabulous resource for photographers. Much can be learned and much information gleaned from many sites on the world wide web. Here are a few links, along with brief descritions of them, for your web surfing photographic pleasure:

 

Apogee Photo- An all around consumer oriented photo website with contests, information, etc.

American Memory Viewer- The Library of Congress... need I say more?

American Photo - A very nice magazine with a pretty good online version.

Best Photography Sites- A portal type page for your surfing pleasure!

Bird Forum- If you like birds, birding, photography, nature, etc. this site is beyond comprehensive!

Canon Digital Photography Forum- A nice forum for all Canon digital camera users.

Digital Photography Review- One of the best sites on the web, no matter what equipment you're using. Forums are great!

Digital Camera Reviews- A good site with lots of news and reviews.

Digital Outback Photo- A great site for learning and experimenting with digital photography.

Digital Photography Now- Another good site with news, reviews, etc.

DP Challenge- A site with free forums to read, but they want you to pay for membership. Good information reading the forums.

EDigital Photo- A good magazine with part of it's contents online every month.

Fred Miranda- Like stuffy wannabe purists? There's plenty of them on here, but fabulous photos and information. Fred is a little pricey on some of his Photoshop actions. All in all a good site though.

FreePhotoshop- There are some links to cool, free stuff for you Photoshop users on this site.

Image Shack- Free hosting and hotlinking of images for forums, auctions, etc.

Jerry's Photo & Imaging- One of the must see sites on the web!

Kodak Professional- Are you a Pro, or aspiring Pro? This is a good site even for amateurs and serious hobbyists.

Luminous Landscape- Totally awesome site, much information, great tutorials, etc.

MegaPixel- A neat site with some good photos and information.

Nature Photographers Online- Not a bad site, it has some good information and photos.

Outdoor Eyes- A great site with excellent forums, great photos and lots of useful information.

Outdoor Photographer- A fine print magazine as well as a good website to visit.

PC Photo Magazine- Another very good magazine with a nice website.

Photo Blink- A very nice site here!

Photo Bucket- Another free site to host, hotlink and generate other code for your photos.

Photo.net- If you are a photographer, or like photography, then photo.net is the place! This site is giant and filled with tons of information and some absolutely fabulous photographs. Basic membership is free and it's just about the top of the heap!

Photography on the Net- Another good site with a wealth of information.

Photo Bucket- Another free image hosting, display, storage site.

Peterson's Photographic- A great print magazine and a nice website too!

Photography Websites- A site with links to many more sites.

Photo Notes- Some interesting articles here.

Photo Talk.net- A fabulous site, basic membership is free, make a modest donation and you get a lot more features.

PhotoZone- A site with lots of technical information, forums and some great information.

Picture Flow- If you work in RAW and use Capture One software, this site's for you.

Popular Photography- The granddaddy of all photo magazines and a really good website as well.

Rob Galbraith- Another site with lots of tech information, camera reviews, forums and all sorts of stuff.

Shutterbug- Quite a nice photography magazine with a good companion website also.

SI Photo- Want to set your camera up and tweak its settings like the pros who shoot for Sports Illustrated?

Total Digital Photography- A U.K. site that's pretty darned good.

Vivid Light Photography- One of the ultimate photography magazines, all free and all on the web this magazine is only online, no newsstand versions availbale. You should read this every month! Also, don't forget the back issues.

ZoneZero- Lots of information here.
