May 2009 Meeting is Thursday, the 14th, 7:30 p.m. (note time change!!!) at the CPI Annex Building at 23rd & Kansas Ave. in Great Bend. The guest presenter will be Anne Hayes who has a photography business near Lyons. See flyer for details. Also, Karole Erikson and Marion Lightfoot will present short slideshows they have learned to produce out of Adobe Lightroom. Dan Soeken will also update the club on the QNWR field trip which was postponed due to flooding.

The new Kansas Wetlands Education Center is now open at Cheyenne Bottoms. Go out for a visit, it's very nice!

Also, the Wetlands and Wildlife National Scenic Byway is now finished and is very much worth a day trip to go visit.

In other news: Jerry Segraves is now retired and is available for photographic and software consulting and training on a very affordable, but somewhat limited (by honey-dos) basis. Contact Jerry for more information!

Grand Canyon by Karol Weis

Sunday, May 15th, 2005 was our all day fun day at Quivira National Wildlife Refuge Several of our members regularly go out to QNWR for photography outings, so if you missed the field trip, but would like to go sometime, contact Jerry, Jim, Dan, Marion, or Loren and we'll try to take you next time!

Are you getting out and shooting photos??? Are you sending them to Jerry for posting? Remember, we have space for thousands and thousands of these photos, so what are you waiting for? If you need help, email or call Jerry and he'll help you. Although he's been really busy lately!!!

Members, contact Jerry to put your photos in the galleries and member pages, no charge of course, and we can even get you crusty old film shooters on here! Our next meeting is Thursday, Sept. 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the CPI Annex in Great Bend, KS. Be there for a good presentation with guest speaker/presenter/club member Harold Rees who always puts on a good show!
