September Meeting is Thursday, the 11th, 7:30 p.m. (note time change!!!) at the CPI Annex Building at 23rd & Kansas Ave. in Great Bend. The guest presenter will be Wendell Hinkson, a club member, who will present a slideshow of photos on the Barnstormers antique airplanes which were in Great Bend a few weeks ago. See flyer for meeting details. He will also engage us in discussion on how to lighten shadow areas of photos in Photoshop and how to shoot and merge photos for a panorama.

The October meeting will highlight Mike Umscheid, an NWS Weather Man from Dodge City who chases storms and takes some beautiful photos. Check out his amazing website at underthemeso.com Mike received an award from President Bush because he was on duty and "blew the whistle", so to speak, when the devastating Greensburg tornado formed.

Sunday, May 15th, 2005 was our all day fun day at Quivira National Wildlife Refuge Several of our members regularly go out to QNWR for photography outings, so if you missed the field trip, but would like to go sometime, contact Jerry, Jim, Dan, Marion, or Loren and we'll try to take you next time!

Are you getting out and shooting photos??? Are you sending them to Jerry for posting? Remember, we have space for thousands and thousands of these photos, so what are you waiting for? If you need help, email or call Jerry and he'll help you. Although he's been really busy lately!!!

Members, contact Jerry to put your photos in the galleries and member pages, no charge of course, and we can even get you crusty old film shooters on here! Our next meeting is Thursday, Sept. 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the CPI Annex in Great Bend, KS. Be there for a good presentation with guest speaker/presenter/club member Harold Rees who always puts on a good show!
