Welcome to the Central Kansas Photography Club

 

We have many events going on with the Central Kansas Photography Club and many more planned. As usual, with a club of this size (currently over 50 members), we plan and then get together and make these plans actually happen. If you have an idea for an event, outing, etc., contact us, come to a meeting, or let us know of your ideas, so we can plan from there. Recently, we wrapped up a very successfull 1st annual competition/show at the Great Bend Public Library where 150 photos were displayed for a month. Here is the big winner! In 2005, we hope to do it again as well as having some photos displayed at the Barton County Association of the Arts in downtown Great Bend and perhaps a diplay/competition at the Gus Shafer Memorial Art Galley at Barton County Community College. We normally have a theme based monthly contest at our meetings as well. Some tentative field trips will be planned for this coming spring, summer and fall, which should allow for some good outings for club members who wish to participate. Any of you members who have ideas for field trips, etc. Please contact us with details.

Jerry is planning a web photo contest for the spring months. We'll set up a special page for entry photos and then members and other visitors can vote for the best shots in the different categories. We'll find some nice prizes for the winners and it should be a good time for all involved.
